It's election day, finally. The weather is sunny and downright balmy in Chicago. As I write this, the stage is being set in Grant Park for Obama's celebration. Mayor Daley has committed extra funds for police and clean up crews. The scaffolding went up yesterday to support extra lighting to accommodate world media. Craigslist had tickets for sale--but they were snapped up. Optimistically, the Democratic party is maintaining an Online wait list. The unticketed area will have a JumboTron. Metra trains will be doubling capacity. It will be an historical event no matter the election's outcome because it culminates one of the most pivotal political journeys in history.
Now, go out and be a part of it--vote!
